Lillian McDonald is the Managing Director for Emergency, Community, Health, and Outreach (ECHO), a partnership and program of Twin Cities Public Television, dedicated to collaborating with diverse communities to deliver programs and services that help people be healthy, contribute, and succeed by providing multi-media and multi-lingual educational and emergency response programs and services for limited English proficiency families and supporting agencies.

McDonald is the founding Executive Director of ECHO Minnesota, a non-profit organization originally funded by public health and safety agencies wanting to improve the delivery of educational and emergency response information to Minnesota’s LEP families. Before starting ECHO’s mission, McDonald worked in public affairs coordinating risk and crisis communication response plans, media relations, public relations Ramsey County Public Health. She brings with her more than 20 years of professional experience in the communications industry as news reporter for several major market radio and television stations in the Midwest including WHO Radio-(Iowa), KARE-11 (NBC) and KMSP-9 (FOX) in Minneapolis.
